Facebook facial recognition algorithm is so powerful that it can recognize users in pictures when they`re not looking at the camera. Instead, it identifies people based on their hair, clothing style, pose and other physical traits that it compares with old images already stored in its database.

Researchers ran 40,000 Flickr images through Facebook algorithm and found that the machine was able to identify people with 83 percent accuracy, whether they were smiling into the camera or not. Publication of the final study, which was made public earlier this month at the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition conference in Boston, coincides with growing tension between privacy groups and the technology industry over the unauthorized collection and storage of Americans  faces.  There are a lot of cues we use. People have characteristic aspects, even if you look at them from the back, Yann LeCun, head of artificial intelligence at Facebook, told New Scientist.  For example you can recognize Mark Zuckerberg very easily, because he always wears a gray T-shirt.  This comes a week after nine prominent privacy groups ended negotiations with the U.S. government and the tech industry after failing to agree on even basic privacy protections around facial recognition. After 18 months of discussions, the sides were still split over whether companies should be able to track people by name in public without their permission. </span>

Rather than leaking DVD screeners or Blu-Ray copies, though, impatient pirates had to suffer through copies of the movie recorded on a video camera by someone watching the movie in theaters. While thousands are willing to endure the jumpy audio and shoddy video, the rest of the Internet will have to wait for months to watch high quality copies of Jurassic World free.

Until then, here`s what you need to know as the piracy blockbuster season jumps into full swing. </span></div>

No one likes shelling out $12 for a movie ticket, or the average 1,275% popcorn markup, but there`s a reason cinemas remain a popular summer destination: there are usually good (or at least new) movies playing. That`s not the case with torrent providers like Popcorn Time, which waits for the mysterious YIFY group to upload movies before distributing that file to Popcorn Time`s user base of millions.

The problem for pirates is that YIFY waits until the movie is printed on a Blu-Ray disc, then copies that file and posts it online. It’s a process that takes months, meaning someone keen on downloading a summer blockbuster would need to wait until fall to watch for free. Of the most recent releases listed Get Hard was released in theaters on March 27 and Kingsman: The Secret Service on February 13. </span></div>

Mockbusters are the low-budget movies meant to trick customers who are actually looking for something else. The situation is even more serious on many torrent sites. Mockbusters do exist, but bad actors have utilized their strategy of disguise to target unsuspecting users, infecting their computer with malware if they click on an errant link or download the wrong file.

The Pirate Bay, for instance, prominently featured ads laden with viruses. It lets anyone skip the annoying process of surfing through endless search results and myriad video qualities, and instead spend time on the beach or over a grill.  Last night I thought of a movie I wanted to watch while lying in bed,  one Reddit user wrote in a post praising the service.  Ten minutes later I had an alert  on my phone telling me the movie had already been downloaded…We live in amazing times. </span></div>

If you`re concerned about privacy it may be time to re-evaluate messaging platforms. WhatsApp flunked the </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Who Has Your Back</b>? test from the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the annual assessment that scores companies based on how well they protect user data from censorship and surveillance.

The EFF released its fifth annual </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Who Has Your Back?</b> report this week, grading various technology and telecommunications companies on how transparent they are when it comes to informing users about government requests for information. WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned smartphone messaging app, earned only one of five stars, tied for last place with AT&T. Nate Cardozo, an EFF staff attorney who worked on the report, told Wired the EFF spoke to WhatsApp about its privacy policy a year ago. We were very optimistic they`d get policies and procedures in place after the Facebook acquisition, he said. Facebook is lawyered up and they know how to create these policies. WhatsApp didn`t, and that`s disappointing. Apple was one of nine companies that earned full marks from the digital rights groups. Newcomer Reddit earned four stars, and Google slipped from five stars in 2014 to three.

The EFF awarded stars based on whether the company follows industry-accepted best practices, tells users about government data demands, discloses policies on data retention, discloses government content removal requests and whether it has a pro-user public policy and opposes surveillance backdoors.

WhatsApp earned a star only for opposing surveillance backdoors, a kind of security hole the FBI has asked Congress to enact into law. <b><i>AT&T</i></b> follows industry accepted best practices and Verizon Wireless earned two stars for disclosing content removal requests and following best practices. Adobe, Credo Mobile, Dropbox, Sonic.net, Wikimedia, WordPress and Yahoo! each earned five starts, along with Apple.</span></div>

Shaun Bridges, a computer forensics expert who helped investigate the Silk Road drug marketplace, has agreed to plead guilty to money laundering and obstruction of justice. Bridges, who was accused of stealing $820,00 in bitcoin, is one of two former federal agents accused of breaking the law in the process of taking down the online black market that was the subject of a highly visible trial early this year.

Bridges worked for the U.S. Secret Service as part of a Baltimore task force dedicated to stopping the Silk Road, which facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars in drug sales in a hidden corner of the Internet. When Bridges arrested a Silk Road customer service representative, he used log-in credentials gleaned in that arrest to access Silk Road accounts, moving bitcoin from the drug market into his own accounts.  Mr. Bridges has regretted his actions from the very beginning,  Bridges' lawyer told Bloomberg News.  His decision to plead guilty reflects his complete acceptance of responsibility and is another step towards rehabilitation.  Ross Ulbricht, a Texas native and accomplished science student, was ultimately convicted as the operator of the Silk Road after a three-week trial in January. He was sentenced to life in prison on May 29, for multiple counts including conspiracy, though the defense has since appealed based on the accusations against Bridges and another agent, Carl Force. Force stands accused of creating multiple online identities in an attempt to extort Ulbricht, among other crimes.

Bridges is expected to formally enter his plea in August or late September.  </span></div>

Just eight players remain in the hunt for the 2015 Wimbledon championship, and the top four seeds are all set to play on Wednesday. Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka are all expected to win their respective matches and advance to the semifinals.

After defeating competitors who didn`t have much of a chance to make a run in the tournament, tennis  top stars will face some tougher competition. Both Djokovic and Federer will go up against top-12 seeds, and Wawrinka is considered to have the toughest challenge of all the favorites. Had Rafael Nadal not been upset in the second round, he could`ve been in line to face Murray in Wednesday`s quarterfinals match.

Federer appears poised to make another trip to the semifinals. He breezed through his fourth-round match against No.20 Roberto Bautista Agut on Tuesday, and he`s been edged in just one set at Wimbledon. The two players have never met on grass, but Federer has just two losses against Simon, including wins in their last five head-to-head matches. Simon was impressive his his recent straight-set victory over No.6 Tomas Berdych, but the No.2 seed could prove to be too much for him. </span><br />

The Brit is considered to have the easiest road to the semifinals. Pospisil is ranked No.54 in the world, and though he`s beaten two top-30 players at Wimbledon, the Australian Open was the last time he won more than two matches at any tournament. Murray has won all nine of his matches on grass in 2015  and he should be able to get his 10th against the biggest longshot in the field. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><b style="font-size: x-large;">Novak Djokovic vs  Marin Cilic</b><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> After dominating his first three matches, Djokovic showed some vulnerability in Round No.4  losing the first two sets of his match with Kevin Anderson. But the defending Wimbledon champ rebounded to win the final three sets, and he shouldn`t have much trouble in getting to this year’s semifinals. Cilic started the tournament as one of the top competitors, outside of the top few players. But he`s been dominated by Djokovic, losing all 12 of his career matches against the No 1 seed. Cilic did manage to take Djokovic to five sets in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon last year, but there`s little reason to believe that he`ll be able to win. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><b style="font-size: x-large;">Stan Wawrinka vs </b><span style="font-size: large;"><b> Richard Gasquet</b> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Despite replacing Rafael Nadal as the world`s fourth-best player, Wawrinka is not considered a near-automatic entrant in the Wimbledon semifinals like the remaining members of tennis Big Four.  Gasquet has a few impressive wins over the past week, topping No.11 Grigor Dimitrov and No.26 Nick Kyrgios. Wawrinka beat Gasquet to reach the quarterfinals of the 2013 French Open, and Gasquet won their only other matchup in 2006.  The world`s No.4 player has yet to lose a set at Wimbledon, and he should be able to advance on Wednesday.</span>

Rising Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios fired back at former Australian champion swimmer Dawn Fraser after the latter criticized his on-court antics during his fourth round match at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships.

Kyrgios has called Fraser, a former Olympian, a  blatant racist  after statements she made last Monday.  They should be setting a better example for the younger generation of this country, a great country of ours,  the 77-year-old Fraser said while appearing on a TV show. If they don`t like it, go back to where their fathers or their parents came from. We don`t need them here in this country if they act like that. Fraser not only criticized Kyrgios but also another Australian tennis player, Bernard Tomic, who had his own issues with their country  tennis organization, Tennis Australia.

However, Fraser issued a formal statement on Wednesday denying the racism charges and saying that her comments were not racist. My intended message, which was not delivered as articulately as it could have been, was on a purely sporting level rather than meant as an attack on Nick's ethnicity,  Fraser said in her apology. Nick`s representing Australia and I want to see him representing Australian tennis in the best possible light. Kyrgios has a Greek parent and a Malaysian-born parent, but was himself born and raised in Canberra, the capital of Australia. Tomic has Yugoslavian-born parents and was born in Germany but has lived in Australia since he was 3.</span></div>

Whenever one of the PGA Tours four majors roll around, the talk inevitably turns to whether or not American EE and former No. 1 player in the world Tiger Woods will snap his seven-year major-less streak.

Its a testament to Woods crossover appeal and the way in which he rose to stardom in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He crushed the rest of the competition to claim 14 majors in the span of 11 years, and even though Woods game has fallen fans still hope to see a glimpse of that dominant form for at least four more rounds over one weekend.

Alas, that wont be the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay EE this year.

The 39-year-old Woods fired off 10-over 80 in the first round of the 115th iteration of Americas major to rank third-to-last on the current leaderboard, and 15 strokes back of leaders Henrik Stenson and Dustin Johnson.EE  Woods’ odds to win the U.S. Open for the fourth time in his career, which opened at 50/1, have now plummeted to 1,500/1, via Sportsbook.ag.

With eight bogeys and one double-bogey, it proved to be the worst round at the U.S. Open in Woods career and its a growing, unfortunate trend. Woods even lost control of his club while trying to dig out of the rough on the eighth hole and sent it flying roughly 20 yards behind him.

According to Golf Channel, Woods posted one round in any tournament with a score of 80 or worse between 1996 and 2014, and has done so three times this year alone. Now tied for 152nd place its the first time Woods has ever been outside the top 150 and now player has ever shot 80 or worse in the opening round and won the U.S. Open.

Chambers Bay itself does represent a significant challenge, and has been dubbed as perhaps the toughest U.S. Open course in history. Covering over 7,900 yards, the long course is further complicated by the Pacific coast winds that roar off the Puget Sound as well as the deep and wide fairways and unkind greens.

But EE in the past, Woods would have had the confidence to see a course like that as just another challenge. Based on his comments after the crushing round, Woods would tell reporters that hes still working out the kinks on his new swing and he does sound optimistic. I know when I do it right, its so easy, Woods said. It just feels easy to control, easy to do it, easy to hit all my shots. I just need to do it more often and build from there. Im trying as hard as I can to do it, and for some reason I just can`t get the consistency that I`d like to have out there. I`ve EE gone through tough phases in each one of these things and I've come out OK on the other side.  With injuries to his back and knees over the last few years, Woods has changed up his swing several times to relieve pressure on those areas, but the results haven`t been there.EE   Though the cut is presently unknown, it seems inevitable that Woods will miss it this year. He tees off at 12:28 p.m. ET Friday afternoon.</span></div>

But that may change now that the company has teamed with Dynamite Entertainment.

Dynamite EE plans on publishing new comic books based on Ataris most famous video games, as well as reprinting old material and even releasing art books to celebrate Ataris history. Fans of older and obscure comics will be EE happy to know that Dynamite has plans to reprint the Atari Warriors comic back as part of a first wave of Atari comics, as reported by Bleeding Cool. Atari Warriors was originally published by DC Comics from 1984 to 1986, lasting 20 issues. The series featured the talents of heavyweight writers like Gerry Conway, Roy Thomas and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez.

Comic Book Resources reported that Dynamite plans on releasing the first official retrospective art book as a tribute to Atari and its video games. The Atari art book will be similar to the Hyrule Hysteria hardcover that was a big seller for Dark Horse Comics.

Dynamite EE also promised new comics based on some of Ataris most popular games, like Centipede Missile Command, Asteroids and Yars Revenge. Dynamite EE also promised that the comics will be created by some of today s biggest names. Some of the company’s most recent comics have been written by Mark Waid, Brian Buccellatto and Matt Wagner, all of whom are highly regarded.

Most comic book fans know Dynamite EE as the publisher that tends to release comics that are a mix of old-school pulp and sci-fi fantasy. The company also has a good history of reviving older properties, as the company has released titles based on the Green Hornet and the Lone Ranger. It also recently acquired the rights to publish Wil Eisner s character, the Spirit.

So far, Dynamite EE has not revealed when these Atari comic books will arrive. Given that the company has a history of releasing acclaimed comics, it seems Atari fans have little reason to worry.<br />
